Executive Officer. Applicants should have military command experience as an officer, but high ranking NCO's are encouraged to
apply. You will assist me in ensuring all directives are applied and adhered to. You will be commissioned as a 1st Lt.
1st
Sergeant. Applicants should have a discharge rank of E-7 or above. If you qualify, you already know the duties that define
this position.
Doctor. Applicants should possess a full M.D. You will serve as chief medical officer and will help
citizen soldiers develop field medic skills. You will be commissioned as a 1st LT.
Lawyer. A militia needs a lawyer
for many and obvious reasons. Applicants should possess a license to practice law in Idaho. You will be commissioned as
a 2nd Lt.
Chaplain. Applicants should be ordained by a mainline Christian denomination. Catholic priests especially
sought. LDS also encouraged to apply. You will attend to the spiritual needs of the Militia. You will be commissioned
as a 2nd Lt.
Sergeant of Arms. Applicants should possess appropriate credentials, be able to qualify as expert with
their primary weapon, and possess a high powered rifle. Your rank will be Master Sergeant and you will train in marksmanship
fundamentals and conduct qualifications.

Greetings to my fellow Idaho Patriots! Please feel free to browse this website, but know that it is a work in progress as is the Militia.
Please check in from time to time as I will have important updates for those interested in enlisting in the Militia. For right now,
the first general muster is scheduled for September of 2009 to give everyone adequate opportunity to prepare to meet the requirements.
There will be minimal equipment, fitness, and marksmanship standards that will have to be reached at 1st Muster. This website will
be a guide to those preparing to enlist.
Understand that this militia will be as professional, well trained, disciplined, physically fit, and proficient as any U.S. military unit. Those former members of the military, I will expect your assistance in establishing, modeling, and enforcing these standards for those who have never served in the armed forces. Full military customs, courtesies, and protocols will be practiced in the militia. There are many militias across America that are undisciplined, have sloppy attire, and contribute to a continuing negative image of the militia in the minds of many Americans. This will not be one of them. I seek to recruit only those who are seriously minded about forging a formidable civil defense force and will accept nothing less than the same excellence required of our members of the armed forces.
I am Captain James Ambrose and if you decide to enlist, I will be your commanding officer. The Idaho Militia will meet once a month; one day for training, and a weekend bivouac for field training exercises. The training will cover movement and infiltration, land navigation, responding to an NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) attack, wilderness survival, emergency first aid, anti-terrorism, ambush response, Geneva rules of combat, and a host of other skills and topics. We will train all year long in all sorts of climate at various locations all across Idaho. Our weapons will be legal as well as all of our activities. We will keep authorities informed of our movement itineraries and strive as much as possible for a spirit of cooperation with those authorities. So, if you're interested, again, check in from time to time as I will be providing crucial updates so we can all be on the same page at 1st Muster. The location will most likely be in the Treasure Valley so be prepared to travel. In any event, I do look forward to meeting you all and serving our great state with you.
